Unwanted First Weeks Homework

While reading "How I Learned to Program Computers" by Feross Aboukhadiejah and "How I Learned to Live Google-Free" by Joshua Romero, I discovered that they are directed to 2 different audiences. Feross' blog was for any everyday type of person, someone who is an average user of technology and understands the impact it is having on our society, but not an expert by any means . Romero's blog was more for a "tech guru". Its verbage was more advance and would be quick to confuse someone who didn't know what he was talking about.

The 2 articles also showed educational experiences. They pointed out the facts of how one learned to program a computer or how one was able to become Google-free. They gave visual examples on how it influenced their life as well as giving a step by step on how they accomplished these things as well. The writers of these 2 blogs helped show the audience the significance of their decisions.

I was able to take from these blogs how to direct my blog to an audience that would be interested, how to use my own personality and humor in my blog, how to show visual examples of what's going on in my blog and how to give my "follower" a step by step learning experience on what I am writing about.

  2. We all seem to agree on the various styles of the two authors, I also found the second narrative very technical.
